Staff, students and families sang, danced and laughed together to celebrate the end of the school's Catholic Schools Week with a Music Rally at Alstonville Parish Hall.

'Nutbush City Limits' echoed around St Joseph's Primary, Alstonville, school hall as staff, students and families sang, danced and laughed together to celebrate the end of the school's Catholic Schools Week with a Music Rally.

The 2021 theme of Catholic Schools Week 'Faith in the Future', was evident in all aspects of the Music Rally, from the planning by Stage 3 students, prop creation, promotional poster designs and enthusiastic participation.

Year 6 student Felicity said that she was overwhelmed by the experience, with her favourite part being the dancing, singing and seeing the smiles on everyone's face.

This sentiment was echoed by Principal, Therese Seymour, who said the event was about bringing "fun and joy to the school community". This event was not only about the students but also the parents seeing the fun side of school experiences she added.

Assistant Principal Learning & Teaching, Kasey Miles, described the importance of community participation, 'it meant everything to see our families back at the school and part of our community again.'

'It was wonderful to be back at the school and to see what the children love to do, being able to participate, we can see their smiling faces, off social media participating with their friends,' said parent Melissa Barnes.

Assistant Principal Mission, James Farr, described the event as, 'no better way than to show the community and the Holy Spirit at work when everyone was dancing together.'
