Students from St Carthage's Primary School, Lismore, enjoyed the exciting Ten: Ten Experience, exploring their relationship with Jesus through dance, music and games. (14 June 2023)
Students from St Carthage’s Primary School, Lismore, were offered an outstanding opportunity to explore the Mission of the Lismore Diocese through the Ten: Ten Experience.
The Ten: Ten Experience is a high-energy event focused on enabling students to achieve the fullness of life. Inspired by the words of Jesus in the Gospel of John, ‘I came so that they may have life, life to the full’ (John 10:10), this experience is an opportunity for students to celebrate life with their peers and hear the relevance of the Gospel from a team of faithful youth ministers.
‘It was so good to see our students come back (those now at Woodlawn) to work with our students and share their talents and faith,’ said Year 2 teacher Haley Rogusz.
St Carthage’s was buzzing with excitement as the pandemic and floods forced last year's Wildfire 10:10 Experience to be postponed.
Students participated in inspirational and exhilarating games, drama, music, testimonies, small group activities and prayer, allowing students to explore their relationship with Jesus and understand that he is always there for us.
‘I liked praying after watching the play - it made you think that Jesus is always with us,’ said Year 4 student Daisy.
The energetic music of Wildfire provided a fun and engaging environment for the students to encounter Jesus. The Youth Ministry Officers and Ministry students were enthusiastic and welcoming. They radiated their energy upon the students, ensuring everyone had a good time and felt welcomed.
‘I love how our students were welcomed into the Hall - the whole place just seems alive!’ said Assistant Principal - Mission Danny Hatchman.
Congratulations to all involved on providing the students with an exciting and contemporary way to encounter Jesus.
